Boise Airport (BOI) New Fuel Facility – Engineering Design, Construction Administration, and Resident Engineering Services

The Boise Fuel Facilities (BOI Fuels) have retained Argus Consulting for engineering design, construction administration, and resident engineering services for the new fuel storage and distribution facility at Boise Airport (BOI).

The project supports the airport’s long-term operational growth, including future 10-gate Concourse A, which is expected to open in Summer 2030.

This project includes the construction of three 10,000-barrel jet fuel storage tanks, a transmission main to load racks near the terminals, truck receipt and filtration systems, a transfer pipeline to remote truck racks, an Emergency Fuel Shutoff (EFSO) system, an operations and maintenance building, and associated utility and site infrastructure.

Construction is underway on all three tanks, with testing underway on Tanks 1 and 3. The operations and maintenance building is reaching full height. Other construction activities currently underway include pump pads, truck loading dock, and dike wall systems. Additional work includes procurement of long-lead equipment such as generators, pumps, prefabricated electrical systems, and loading/unloading skids.

The Boise Airport Fuel Facility Expansion is scheduled for completion toward the end of Q1 2027. It will provide critical fuel storage and distribution infrastructure to support continued airport operations and future expansion efforts.
