Lake Havasu Marina Fueling System
Design and construction support services to fuel a large marina in the heart of Lake Havasu
Lake Havasu is a large reservoir behind Parker Dam on the Colorado River on the border between Arizona and California. The Chemehuevi Indian Tribe has built a new marina at the Havasu Landing Resort and Casino that includes a diesel dispensing station for two ferry berthing spots and gasoline (regular and premium) self-service dispensers for public boats.
From storage tanks to gasoline and diesel dispensers, Argus supported the whole fueling operation
Argus Consulting was retained for design and construction administration services for the fuel system for the marina, which includes three 12,000-gallon gasoline storage tanks (diesel, regular and premium fuels), with gasoline self-service dispensers (dual hose, 10 gpm each nozzle) and diesel high-flow fleet dispenser (35 gpm). Each tank has a submersible pump to supply fuel to the respective dispenser. The piping and submersible turbine pumps service one dock with the premium and regular gasoline fuels, and one dock for the high-flow dispenser to service the ferry across the lake.
